Fashion Designer Puts Ipswich Home on the Market

Gia Ventola is Selling Her Country Club Home

BOSTON: Tom Kennedy of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty has recently listed the Ipswich home of fashion designer, Gia Ventola. The gorgeous three bedroom, two and two half bath home overlooks the tenth tee on the golf course at the Ipswich Country Club. This designer-renovated home features two fireplaces, a spacious deck, a media room, and is only 35 minutes from Boston. In addition to golfing, the country club offers tennis courts, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

The Topsfield native first received attention when her designs were worn by Britney Spears during her 1999 tour. Since then, her celebrity clients have included Cher, Destiny’s Child, Pink, and Sheryl Crow. Her 2005 wedding to Navid Ghoreishi was covered by Inside Weddings and featured acrobatic and operatic performers.

Ventola plans to move to the Ritz in Sarasota, Florida. She will keep her 3,000 sq ft clothing store on the North Shore and is opening a 6,000 sq ft boutique in Sarasota in the fall.

Boston real estate market: Sales in luxury market grow

Massachusetts’s luxury home market, which saw a slow down during the recent economic challenges, has been coming back in dramatic fashion. From January 1 to June 1, 625 homes valued at $1,000,000 or more were sold, with May coming out on top with 173 sales. The first week in June has seen a tremendous amount of activity!

The most expensive sale was of 51 Commonwealth Avenue, which broke the $10 million mark and was listed by Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty. The firm also recently reduced 40 Beacon Street, a historic home on Beacon Hill, to $19.9 million. That 21,000sf home offers stunning views of the Common and luxurious finishes, as well as a spacious patio and 9 parking spaces.
